The Low Cost Counselling service is closed from 20 December 2023 due to staff annual leave and will re-open on 02 January 2024. Please note, this is not a crisis or acute mental health service. If you are experiencing a crisis, please contact your GP or call NHS 111.
Our low-cost psychotherapy & counselling service runs from October to July each year. The service aims to increase access to services by providing counselling for those on low incomes, those who are unemployed, students, and those in receipt of state benefits.
Low-cost counselling is provided by our trainees, who are closely supervised by experienced UKCP and BACP registered practitioners. This service offers short term counselling (10 weeks) allowing the opportunity for BCPC trainees to accrue practice hours in a supervised agency setting.
Sessions take place in the confidential setting of our practice rooms at 1 Trim Bridge.
