Welcome. Reaching out for support in a time of difficulty and change or to address issues from the past can feel daunting but you have now taken the first step. For all of us, life is filled with ups and downs and perhaps you are here because you feel anxious or depressed or are going through a life transition. Or perhaps you have experienced trauma. Equally, it may not be fully clear just yet what brings you to therapy and we can take time to explore this . The process of therapy can be transformative in helping you weather past and present storms, to feel safer and more connected with yourself and others again, and simply to live a more meaningful life with greater satisfaction.
I am a BACP registered Counsellor (MBACP) with much client work experience and an almost 30 year background within the helping professions, first as a Psychologist and Coach/Mentor, and then as an NHS Midwife. I work in a ‘humanistic-integrative’ manner which means that I meet you with warmth, compassion, and acceptance, and that I regard you as truly unique. You will be at the heart of our therapeutic relationship and because I am trained in multiple methods, we'll work together to develop an approach that best meets your needs. Through this personal approach, I will help you to make positive changes and access your own answers, opening the door to growth and resilience. I practice both in Central Bath and also in BA2 (Kingsway area).
