I"m a UKCP-certified psychotherapist in training.
Experience in private practice, the Harbour counselling charity, and in the NHS has prepared me to work with people suffering from a wide variety of challenges. In our sessions, we'll start from what brings you to therapy. I'll explain how I work and you'll be able to clarify what you need from therapy. We'll then work together to explore your feelings, thoughts, and memories in a way that seems safe. Sharing our innermost experiences can be scary or painful, but it can also be creative and even playful. We may want to explore your dreams or use drawings. If you have a religious or spiritual side, that can also play a role. There are many pathways to healing – to feeling safer and better in ourselves and more able to enjoy relationships and life.
Among the issues you might bring are
and many others. If you have a diagnosis or take medication, that can also be part of our conversations. I have extensive experience liaising with NHS care teams. I also have experience working with neurodiversity.

I am a UKCP-registered and fully insured psychotherapist in training.
I completed the Foundation Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling in 2020 and have been working toward an MA in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy since then.
From October 2020 to December 2022 I saw clients at the Bristol Harbour, a charity offering counselling for people facing loss, death, and bereavement. From October 2023 to July 2024, I was on placement with one of the mental health Assessment and Recovery teams of the Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. From May 2024 I have been working individually with patients in the Complex Psychological Interventions team in the same NHS trust providing long-term psychodynamic psychotherapy.
My previous career has been in academia, where for sixteen years I have taught philosophy, mythology, and cultural history at the University of Bristol. I am particularly interested in dreams, fantasies, meaning, spirituality, desire, aggression, and the feeling that life is worth living.
