I began my professional life working in a psychiatric unit for four years and from there, I decided that I wanted to provide a more holistic form of care and talking therapy is something that I believe provides this.
From 2012 to early 2021, I split my time between working as a counsellor in a private practice in Bristol, and as Head Counsellor at the Sporting Chance Clinic. Sporting Chance Clinic is the only residential treatment centre in the world dedicated to working with elite and professional sportsmen and sportswomen suffering with addiction. After nine years, I decided to commit my time running my own private practice, Andrew Jordan Psychotherapy, working on a wide range of issues.
I understand from personal experience that therapy can be daunting. It is therefore important that therapy is a journey which we take together, to provide you with the tools and skills needed to equip you for a better, more fulfilling life.
