Psychotherapy Sessions in Leeds and Online

I offer face to face psychotherapy and psychotherapeutic counselling in Leeds city centre. I am also able to provide online sessions. Therapy provides you with a safe, confidential space to talk about your feelings and any difficulties that you might be facing. Please contact me if you are interested in making an appointment.

My approach is humanistic, placing the therapeutic relationship at the centre of my work. I also have an interest in psychodynamic, gestalt, embodied and transpersonal theories and methods. My training has been centred around in-depth, open ended work in which we explore the underlying processes that inform emotional development and relational patterns. I believe that as we work together in building a warm and authentic therapeutic relationship, we create the conditions to shine a light into the past and on the wounded or neglected parts of the self.

Training

I am currently in my eighth and final year of an extensive training programme with BCPC (Bath Centre of Psychotherapy and Counselling) on a UKCP (UK Council of Psychotherapy) accredited course. I am also a member of UKCP and am in regular supervision with a UKCP accredited supervisor.

I received my foundation certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling in 2014 and am in the final stages of a diploma and MA in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy. I have been working in private practice since 2016, originally seeing clients in Cheltenham and Bristol. Additionally, I have over five years’ experience working with an agency offering counselling to 11-25 year olds and I have spent four years working for the Bristol Sanctuary, an NHS funded service offering emotional support to people in crisis and working closely alongside emergency services.

I have an undergraduate degree in Music and am interested in the many different and creative ways in which people express themselves. I believe that words often fail to truly represent us and that healing comes about when we experience being understood and accepted at a deeper, unspoken level.
