Caroline Page, Psychotherapist , Supervision in Bath ,

Caroline Page

I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist working in the Bath area in private practice since 2002. I work with individual adults from 16+ years old, offering both long term open ended therapy or short term more solution focused work where appropriate. I also have a knowledge of working with more Cognitive Behavioural Techniques which may be incorporated if suitable.

My availability face to face is all day Tuesday and Wednesday at the above location. I can offer online therapy all day Thursday with the possibility of face to face at my home location BA11 3PF

If you are experiencing emotional difficulties, such as anxiety or depression, problems with your relationships, or are noticing patterns of behaviour in your life that you would like to understand or change ,then psychotherapy can be an effective way of addressing some of these issues. It can also be helpful in addressing feelings of loss of identity and or hopelessness.

I believe that we all hold the wisdom and have the keys to realising our own potential. However, this wisdom is often obscured by entrenched patterns of defensive behaviours and strategies we have developed to protect ourselves from experiencing further pain. The safe, holding environment of psychotherapy can enable us to explore how these patterns may be negatively affecting our ability to relate both to ourselves and others, thereby preventing us from living our life in a more meaningful and fulfilling way.

I would like to offer you the chance to talk about and explore some of your own thoughts, beliefs and behaviours that are no longer serving you positively. With on going support I can help you develop an improved awareness, compassion and understanding of these. This in turn may allow for a more empowered sense of self and potentially enable you to make more positive choices in your life./p>

My private practice is based at Sulis Manor Practice (Combe Down Branch Surgery)  on Sulis Manor Road Odd Down, close to the Park and Ride. There is ample free parking or is easily accessible by public transport.

Training

MA and Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative psychotherapy.

My training and approach is humanistic and integrative which includes a long standing interest in the mind, body, spirit connection. My background was within the NHS, but prior to training as a psychotherapist I also worked with and studied subtle energy systems based upon the work by Bob Moore. I continue to be interested in how our bodies may hold on to residual pain and trauma, even from birth. This has been further clarified more recently with the exposure of neuro scientific research. As a consequence I have developed an interest in and have knowledge of working with the poly vagal model also. If appropriate I could support you to understand and potentially improve your own body mind integration seeking a more compassionate relationship with both.
