This BAATN online conference on Saturday 24 October 2026, 10:00AM - 4:15PM is dedicated to Professor Jason Arday and his legacy.

This conference will explore how therapeutic work, social justice, and personal well-being intersect. How can our practice both challenge the status quo and amplify marginalised communities while sustaining us as practitioners? 

Throughout the day, we will be drawing on the idea of rest as a radical act of self‑ and collective care and resistance and on how action and collective empowerment in the service of our and others’ liberation can, in itself, support good mental health.

This online event is suitable for therapists, trainees, and those in the helping professions interested in practises that are both sustainable and transformative, for ourselves and for those we work alongside.
