About

Hello, I’m Shelly, I am a Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association of Counselling Professionals (MBACP). I work both online  and also face-to-face in Salisbury, Wiltshire

Further Information

I offer a compassionate, warm, non-judgmental and confidential space for you to openly talk about whatever is worrying you.  Anything you wish to bring is welcome, however painful, difficult or stressful it might feel to you.   To be truly heard by another can be deeply comforting and by talking together, we can create a place to explore, reflect upon and understand more fully what you are experiencing and why feel as you do.

When we feel sad, low or anxious, asking for help can feel quite daunting and I understand that life can seem difficult at times.  Perhaps its hard to put into words what is troubling you?  It maybe you are experiencing feelings of not being able to cope, or losing touch with your feelings completely. It might also be that you want to explore a painful aspect of your past and how it’s affected you.

I work in a Humanistic and Integrative way which means I will draw upon different approaches to meet your needs as a unique individual whilst always following your lead.  I will sit alongside you, listen to whatever is on your mind, your thoughts, feelings, worries, stories, anxieties and offer empathy and understanding without judgement.  Together we can explore your reasons for counselling, in a safe, confidential space.    I believe the key to counselling is to build a trusting relationship together.

I have experience of working with bereavement, loss, anxiety, relationship issues, low self-esteem, confidence, stress,  anger, loneliness, sadness.

I offer either short or long term  counselling either online or at the Practice Rooms, Salisbury. Sessions are weekly, £50, and for a duration of 50 minutes.

Training

I am accredited as a member of the British Association of Counselling Professionals (BACP) and have regular supervision in line with BCPC and BACP guidelines and adhere to both the Professional Conduct for BCPC and the BACP Code of Ethics.
