Melinda is a qualified UKCP registered psychotherapist.  She has over 8 years of experience working with adults of all ages experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship and parenting difficulties, low self-esteem, dissociation, historical childhood sexual abuse, bereavement and loss, self-harm and addiction.   She works in Kingswood and near Radstock

My experience and interests as a therapist 

I am passionate about finding ways to resolve developmental trauma and work in therapy with how we express those aspects of ourselves that have had to remain silent.  I have experience and training in adoption and therapeutic parenting and have also managed a counselling helpline for people who self-harm as a way of coping with their feelings 

A bit more about me 

I am also a qualified yoga teacher, with many years of experience working with, supporting and supervising individuals in charities and business. I have worked for several years managing a counselling helpline for people who self-harm.  I have volunteered for the NHS teaching yoga to people who have severe and enduring mental illness.

MA and Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy.  I work under UKCP and BCPC Ethical Principles and Code of Practice.

Foundation Certificate in Psychotherapy and Counselling

Training in Working with Trauma, Sensory Integration and Adoption
