Lynn Linsdale
Psychotherapist with over 20 years experience
I provide a safe space for my clients to voice their concerns confidentially. This helps them find relief from the distress and discomfort of everyday living that a talking therapy can offer. The focus of my work has been to help those struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and feelings of shame and anger. I have found psychological distress often shows itself through physical symptoms, addictions and obsessive thoughts that can make ongoing experience challenging.
As well as running a private practice for 23 years, I have also worked with the Trauma Foundation South West for 15 years. This has led me to specialise in lessening symptoms of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, building resilience, developing self-compassion, and using Mindfulness techniques with groups of clients and agency staff who work with severely traumatised people. Working in both a private practice and an organisational setting has given me a broader range of skills to offer clients. This allows me to blend my psychotherapeutic knowledge with psychology informed grounding skills to alleviate panic attacks, flashbacks and vicarious trauma.
