Hege Usborne
I am a psychotherapist in training offering low cost psychotherapy in central Nailsworth.
Whether you've experienced being in therapy before or are thinking about it for the first time, the decision to enter into psychotherapy is a big one. I encourage you to look around and find a therapist you feel you connect with - listen to your inner voice.
I will encourage you to be curious, to allow deeper feelings to surface and to explore them with me alongside as a reliable, resilient companion. I bring warmth, empathy and my own authenticity. Together, in a non-judgemental environment, we can work towards an awareness and acceptance of your deeper true self.
For me, the relationship we create is the key to our work. I believe that everyone has the capacity to come to terms with their wounds and that our therapeutic relationship will support you to engage in compassionate, honest self-reflection and self-acceptance.
In my placement I have worked with people experiencing panic attacks, trauma, the after effeects of chilhood abuse (sexual, mental and physical), anxiety, social anxiety, depression, caring for a chronically suicidal partner, bereavement, cancer treatment, and hypersexuality.
As well as seeing private clients, I currently volunteer with GARAS (Gloucestershire Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers) and have my training placement with Listening Post counselling service in Stroud.
