I work with people presenting a range of different issues including low self-esteem, stress, anxiety,depression,addictions,abuse, relationship problems , trauma and fertility issues. I am also interested in the area of psychosomatic illness when physical and emotional issues are closely linked.

I have had a practice in Bath for over 21 years. My approach is both humanistic and psychodynamic and I emphasize the importance of the therapeutic relationship which develops between myself and each client. I help clients to work through issues by offering empathic understanding in a confidential space. I am also able to explore how unconscious conflicts can lead to repetitive and often unhelpful patterns of behaviour. I aim to help each client to develop improved awareness of their own behaviours so that it is possible for them to make changes which bring improvements to the quality of their lives.Where appropriate I make use of some Mindfulness-based approaches to help clients deal with both emotional and physical issues.I have myself completed the Mindfulness-based stress reduction programme.

I am currently in the final stage of my supervisory training which is giving me the experience of working with supervisees.I have found that supervision has been a vital part of my growth as a Psychotherapist and I am very committed to integrating it into my own practice.

I can work over long periods with individuals ( months or years ) and I can also offer short-term therapy which usually focuses on specific issues.

I normally offer fortnightly sessions to supervisees and I am offering low cost supervision as part of the BCPC low cost scheme for its students.My current fee is £20.  

I have an M.A. in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy.

I am UKCP registered.

Chartered Member of The Institute of Personnel and Development( MCIPD).

I am also a qualified teacher and possess a teaching certificate and B.A Degree.
