Ellie Carter-Jones
Are you looking for a therapeutic space to explore yourself more deeply and find support through life's challenges?
I am a Psychotherapist in training offering low cost, in person sessions based on Park Street, Bristol City Centre.
I work from a Humanistic and Integrative model which is centred around you- your experiences, your pace and what feels most important to explore.
This style of therapy aims to brings together different therapeutic approaches in a gentle, flexible way to support self-understanding, emotional healing, and personal growth within a trusting, collaborative relationship.
About me:
I am currently studying at Bath Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy on their Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy MA Programme. I am a trainee member of UKCP and abide by their ethical guidelines and code of practice.
As part of my training and in order to ensure the high standards of my ethical and professional practice, I meet with an experienced, UKCP registered Supervisor regularly.
For the last 8 years, I have worked within NHS mental health services as a Healthcare Assistant. In this role I have experience of working with people who have been diagnosed with PTSD, psychosis. depression, anxiety and personality disorders, among other conditions, and have a special interest in working with people suffering during the perinatal period. As a psychotherapist in training, I do not offer diagnoses or labels- instead, my work is rooted in understanding your lived experience. If you have a diagnosis, we can explore together what it means for you, how it shows up in your life and how you relate to it.
As part of my training, I have also completed a placement at Kinergy- a specialist agency offering support for survivors of sexual abuse and sexual violence.
I currently offer low-cost therapy at a rate of £25 per 50 minute session on a weekly basis.
