Having had over 25 years of experience working as a therapeutic counsellor BACP (SNR Accre) working with individuals and couples.

I work by the BACP Ethical Framework and receive regular professional supervision from experienced practitioners .

As a humanistic integrative counsellor,I believe the most important part of how I work with clients is not which theoretical model informs my practice although there are a few,Person centred, psychodynamic,gestalt,cognitive behavioural(cbt)enables me to respond to the individual needs of my clients, but the relationship that develops between us.

Clients come experiencing a variety of issues such as loss,bereavement,low self esteem,stress and panic,anxiety and depression,relationship difficulties,abuse,,workplace stress,midlife crisis,menopause, feeling of stuckness.

I have been incredibly fortunate to have gained a wide and varied experience seeing clients whilst working in various organisations such as University wellbeing service,alcohol and drugs agency,community mental health unit and Cruse bereavement care leading to accreditation as a bereavement counsellor.

I also belong to a network of affiliate therapists affiliated to   several EAP companies supporting peoples health in the work place .I am also registered with leading Private Insurance healthcare providers.

I know it is not always easy and often daunting coming for counselling whether you come as an individual or as a couple.Knowing that I am there to help support you gain a better understanding of the issues that have been preventing you from living the life you want with you finding a way forward which will be right for you .
