About

I am a qualified counsellor and have gained a Level 6 Diploma in Humanistic and Integrative Counselling at Bath Centre for Psychotherapy & Counselling (BCPC). I am registered as a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I have regular supervision according to BACP and BCPC guidelines and adhere to their Code of Ethics (www.bacp.co.uk) and Professional Conduct (www.bcpc.org.uk). These organisations also address complaints policies and procedures should you have a grievance.

I have over 35 years’ experience of working in health, social care, and higher education.

I offer online and telephone counselling to anyone over 18. My rate is £40 - £50 for a 50-minute session. I also have a number of concessionary places. I offer a free initial phone call and a free assessment session on Zoom for us to both decide if we can work together.

Further Information

I believe in our infinite capacity to heal and grow through life’s challenges and that I may be able to help you in that process.

As an integrative counsellor, my approach is both person-centred and able to draw on psychodynamic approaches that recognise the uniqueness of yourself and your personal circumstances, present, past and future.

I can offer you a safe, non-judgemental space where we work together to help you explore and cope with your problems. This might include short or long-term issues.

I have experience of working with anxiety (including health anxiety and death anxiety), depression, trauma (including intergenerational trauma), OCD, relationships, low self-esteem, as well as bereavement and loss.

I also have experience of working with menopause, neurodiversity, ageing, long-term and acute health conditions including stroke, cancer, CFS and pain.

Training

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP membership number 00992292). I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
