I have run a private psychotherapy practice since 1994 in Slough and Bristol, training at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy & Counselling (BCPC) from 1989 to 1997. Although trained as a psychotherapist, I also have considerable experience of working in Primary Care, having worked in GP surgeries from 1994 to 2012, and in HNS Talking Therapies from 2012 to 2025,  gaining NICE-approved qualifications in Counselling for Depression (CfD) and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT).

I have supervised counsellors in private practice and in Primary Care from 2000 until 2025, and have trained with the Centre for Supervision and Team Development (CSTD London), completing their Certificate in Supervision in 2013. I was a supervisor member of the Counsellors' Collective South West.

I subscribe to the BCPC Code of Ethics. 

After a language degree, and a degree in Psychology with the Open University, I trained in Postural Integration with Jack Painter. Joining the training at the Bath Centre for Psychotherapy & Counselling (BCPC), I qualified with the Diploma in Humanistic & Integrative Psychotherapy in 1997. Alongside a private psychotherapy practice, I worked in NHS Talking Therapies as a Counselling for Depression and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy practitioner until 2025. I have worked with trainees from courses in Counselling Psychology (Roehampton) and Humanistic & Integrative Counselling (BCPC) on placement in GP surgeries, helping with their training and development.
