Glowing feedback from external counselling examiner
A message from Jane Purkiss, Head of Training:
Following the Counselling Academic Board on Tuesday 12 July I am pleased to relay some comments from Janie Dickson our External Examiner to the Diploma. Janie moderates a selection of assignments throughout the year and also sees all final submissions. She writes:
"As always I have been impressed by the range of ability shown in the assignments I have moderated. Some of this work is of high standard. Work that is at the lower end of the spectrum (and referred) has been improved upon significantly when re-submitted which highlights the detailed and formative feedback received from tutors in order for work to be revised.
I really enjoy reading the final submissions in which I find a good overview of the students' learning and development. The standard of work and reflexive practice of the graduating students remains at a consistently high standard, with some submissions in particular being extraordinarily competent and mature."
