BCPC gets full marks from external moderators
Rebecca Midwinter, our External Moderator for the Counselling Diploma, is the Director of the Centre for Personal and Professional Development at the University of Bristol, She had this to say: “The joy of being the External Moderator for this course comes through reading the work produced, which is often of a high standard and some of it publishable. The components of the final submission gives a broad overview of a student's transition – from struggling apprentice to competent, mature and informed practitioner. It is strikingly evident; that the level of safety and care afforded to the students, by the course team, is of a very high therapeutic standard and this is enabling the students to take appropriate risks as part of their transformative processes.”
Katherine Murphy, our external moderator for Psychotherapy, is an Integrative Psychotherapist who has been in clinical practice for 20 years and is the Chair of the Training Standards Committee of the HIP section of UKCP. She said this about our psychotherapy training: “BCPC has been integrating the requirements of academic rigour and academic structures with the creative and intuitive possibilities of experiential training, the experiences of personal therapy and the experience of supervised practice. The program has obvious rigour. This is reflected in a greater theoretical sophistication expected of the students and offered by the teaching staff; I have no hesitation in supporting BCPC as a HIPS training organisation of integrity, creativity and high professional standards.”
